Q. When will I find out the outcome of my application?

A. We endeavour to have all outcomes communicated to our candidates within 28 days of applying for the position. You will be contacted by the Line Manager or People Services Team if you are successful in gaining an interview, otherwise you will be notified via email of your outcome.



Q: I have forgotten my password, how do I get a new one?

A: Send an email to career@superretailgroup.com and our People Services Team can reset it for you through a return email notification.



Q: I received an email saying my job application was incomplete, even though I filled in all my information?

A: There could be a number of reasons why your job application is registering as incomplete. It is necessary for you to re-enter the application form and complete all mandatory fields. If you experience any problems with the application process, you can contact our People Services Team via the contact us page.



Q. Can I receive automatic notification of new vacancy notices?

A. On our Careers Centre you can set up a Job Alert. This will automatically notify you via email when a vacancy that you have shown interest in is being advertised.



Q. How long do vacancies remain posted on the Careers Centre?

A. Vacancies remain on the Careers Centre until the closing date. Closing dates may vary depending on certain circumstances that may arise.



Q. Will you confirm receipt of my application?

A. Once you submit your online application form you will be sent an automated email acknowledging that we have received your application. After this you will only be contacted if you are selected for an interview.



Q. What happens to my online application?

A. Applications are electronically sent to our People Services Team and are only viewed by our People Services Officers and the hiring Manager. The hiring Manager will evaluate and compile a shortlist of suitable candidates. Applicants selected for the shortlist will then be invited to attend an interview.



Q. Can I apply for more than one job at a time?

A. You are welcome to apply for as many jobs you may be interested in. You do not need to create new logins each time you submit an application but can use the same login regardless of the amount of time between applications.



Q. After I apply, when can I expect a response from Super Retail Group?

A. It is our aim for every applicant to receive an outcome within 28 days.



Q. Can I make a paper-based application?

A. You can make paper based applications. We do however encourage all applicants to apply via the online process as it is a much faster way to ensure your application is received. If you are experiencing any difficulties completing the application form online or attaching your resume, please contact our People Services Team via the contact us page.



Q. I can't find any suitable vacancies. What do I do now?

A. You can set up a Job Alert which will notify you when a position becomes available in your desired field/location. You can access this via the 'Job Alert' section under ‘Current Opportunities’ on our Careers Centre.



Q. What induction process can I expect?

Our Team are the corner stone of our strategy and we believe in doing all we can to assist our new Team Members to succeed in their new role.

We believe a good inducation creates a really good first impression for our new Team Members and sets the tone for a long and happy career with us.

Our comprehensive ‘So You’re New?’ Program has been specifically designed to support new Team Members from job offer, through to their 90 day probationary sign off. 

All new Team Members work through an online ‘So You’re New?’ presentation either before they start working with us or on their first day of employment.  The ‘So You’re New?presentation provides our new Team Members with a complete overview of the Super Retail Group, our key policies and loads of useful information.

Our new Team Members are also provided with a ‘So You’re New?’ toolkit providing them with key information about what to expect during their Probationary Period.

And finally, all our new Team Members are set up with a Buddy, the role of the Buddy is to be the first point of contact for the new Team Member and to assist the new Team Member settle in and ‘find their feet’.

Q. If I receive a job offer but I still have questions, who can I contact to discuss the issues prior to making my decision?

A. Your first point of contact will be the Store Manager of the store in which the interview was held so that they can clarify any questions that you may have. If your interview was held at one of our Distribution Centres or our Support Office you can contact the People Services Team on 07 3482 7500.  The People Services Team can also provide further assistance on the hiring process and what to expect on your first day of work.
